4 (6-oz.) halibut steaks*, fresh or frozen
1/4 cup butter or margarine, divided
1 cup minced onion
2 red bell peppers, seeded and cut into thin strips
1 can (14.5-oz.) diced tomatoes
Preheat broiler. Season halibut with salt and pepper. Brush with 2 tablespoons
melted butter. Broil 5 to 8 minutes, or until fish is firm and opaque. Meanwhile,

season to taste with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer
for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Place halibut on a serving platter and
spoon red pepper sauce over the top.
