4 strips bacon- diced
1 small onion- chopped
2 stalks celery- chopped
1/2 green pepper- chopped
1 clove garlic- minced
1 bay leaf
2 15 oz cans clams and liquid
1/2 cup water
4 medium raw potatoes- diced
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 cups milk
Saute bacon, onion, celery, green pepper and garlic for 10 minutes. Add bay leaf, liquid from clams, water, diced potatoes, salt and pepper. Simmer until potatoes are barely tender. Add clams, milk and worcestershire sauce and heat through. Do Not Allow to Boil! Remove bay leaf and serve.
